When in Rome

..  do as the Romans do.  So when on this New York Saturday, with no plans of my own, I did as my New York friend and hostess did.

Breakfast came from the super size me fridge.

Then a run in Central Park, ok, so I walked.

Followed by the usual detritus of weekend chores.  The dry cleaners and grocery store included.

Hop on the subway from the Upper East Side to Mid Town for  retail therapy.

Wander around the streets people watching and enjoying the street art until hunger set in.

Little Italy and wonderful food at Il Buco Alimentari & Vineria.

Anti pasta of salami, crispy fried artichoke, Brussel sprout salad and a cod pancake so delicate it was transparent.  Simple spaghetti with pepper needed no enhancement.

The one serving of desert was more than enough for three.

Followed by drinks with a crowd in DBA which has the longest blackboard list of beers.
