  1. Hi All.
The idea I am pursuing by way of this great web site is to try and get hillwalkers together to look at cost sharing as well as a way of meeting like minded and having fun.
I will be leaving Appleby Friday 20th and coming back on the Sunday. So far theres just me in my camper and 3 spare seats. Campsite costs are £5.00 PPPN and theres a great pub down the road.
If anybody is interested in joining me on this trip please contact me.
    Dave

    • Thanks Dave, wish I was free that weekend.

  2. Just back from a stunning weekend in The Arrochar Alps having climbed Ben Lomond on arriving Thursday then Ben Vane, Beinn Ime, Beinn Narnain on Friday and finished off with a four mile bike ride in to remote Beinn Bhuidhe Saturday. Thats 52.5 Ks and 3621 m and plenty of amazing views through clear air towards Ben Nevis in the north, Mull to the east and Glasgow to the south. Now theres 5 really good reasons to go north and theres plenty more good resons to go even further north. Next trip end September Crainlarich Hills and maybe even the 14th to 16th September Tyndrum Hills if I can get anybody interested to share costs. This weekend was a fiver a night to camp, food I took and cooked (£10.00 tops)real ale £25.00 but diesel £100.00!! These lower munros are only about 3 hours from Cumbria but the cost of fuel is limiting hence me wanting to get a few like minded souls together. Dave

    • Thanks for reporting back. May be interested in Sept. But the following weekend.
