Sea to Sky Cumbria
Nothing out of the ordinary
I thought,
when wondering
what to write about on this self indulgent page.
Looking at my photos for the last seven days,
I am reminded again how diverse Cumbria is.
Kent Estuary
I’ve been by the sea on the Kent Estuary.

In pristine park land where the grass ins grazed closure than the Queen of Hearts could cut it with her nail scissors.
Dallam Park
Then there was a stroll in my role a NP volunteer over the gently undulating folds of the Dales way from Staveley to Windermere.

With a ride back on the train.
And so to the sky. Well almost.
Way up to Wetherlam
Not the highest but still able to give that on top of the world feeling.
But it wasn’t all hills and hikes.
As far as festival sites go,
Keswick Mountain Festival
Keswick’s has to top the scale for drama and KT Tunstall certainly found it different.
Chris Bonington’s inspirational talk was a little less incongruous.
Look for Sea to Sky elsewhere in the world and you’ll find a highway and Gondola in Canada. With yes, a hike in the USA
May be that’s an idea for Cumbria. The sea to sky hike from the Cumbria coast to Scafell. Anyone want to join me?
